I am a Java developer with 2.5 years of experience mainly focused on backend development using Spring, Hibernate JSP etc. I wanted to know for how much expertise is required in front End side as companies in job description they mention strong experience in react/angular for java developer positions.

Take a front end development course. You need to know html css bare minimum. Next you’ll have to learn JavaScript fundamentals, then choose a framework, react is most popular right now. If you want more guidance feel free to dm.

Do they ask OOJS and other deeper and interal aspects and working of javascript or they dig more into the framework. I am currently working on udemy react course by Maximilian schwarzmuller.

Framework specific is more common. If you don’t have exact experience with the frame work then how it would work in another one, and or JavaScript fundamental questions. Have to remember these are JavaScript frameworks. So if you know JavaScript extremely well you’re going to be ok. So most of your time should be spent learning that, then small projects in the frameworks

Most of the top level companies mention java developer job, require you to have experience in front end frameworks as mentioned in JD. Is it the same in Goldman Sachs?
