How strict is UberEats?!

Salesforce CgWi40

I recently ordered UberEats and the delivery said it would come via Bike...instead it came through a car.

This used to happen frequently for me when I used to use UberEats more often...Anyone know why this would be happening??

Update: Some people in the comments saying that they're probably delivering via Bike to avoid stricter background checks...?!

Is this okay? safe? @Uber

I have received food in the most ghetto cars you could imagine (they of course didn't match what the app said) so I would say they are not strict at all.

Those fees are outrageous...the very least I expect when I see a 20 USD fee for delivery is that my food will be delivered by Dara Khosrowshahi himself, aboard a Rolls-Royce.

It requires you to get vehicle checked by mechanic and submit paperwork.. using bike bypasses that nonsense

Because the company is paying you to deliver and carries some liability, or at least could be sued for negligence if they weren’t checking their employees card. Use your thinker.

Yeah this happens all the time. What’s interesting is that when it comes in a car, there are TWO people doing the delivery: the driver, and the person running out to give the food.

Must still be worth it for the driver to have another person and thereby splitting costs.

      They are on a date.

The non-responsive customer nets them free food, usually enough for the both of them.

I used to work at Uber and from what I remember it was either because it's raining (and who wants to get rained on delivering food) or to get around registering as a driver because the background check is not as strict for deliveries on bikes. I didn't realize Uber Eats still had people deliver on bikes though.

Sir is traditional a totalitarian acknowledgement to a superior and does not indicate a sex. In fact to this day you would still refer to all officers, male and female, as sir during a formal military engagement. So I think you ot to pick a better battle on this one.

@h6z8a7 in what country is this the case? I can only speak from US Army Reference Manual 600-25 which states that you address them as Sir or Ma'am depending on their gender.
I know it happens sometimes in video games and movies, but is the case in real life anywhere in the world?

I’ve had this happen as well. In fact we once ordered three large pizzas and were concerned that it wouldn’t fit on a bike rack.

Dude showed up in a car, of course.

Uber detects these situations and even asks for feedback sometimes to confirm. As for how they force compliance once they know, no idea.
