Got rejected again , what am I doing wrong ? I can get back to leetcode but what topics should I focus on ? L4
- Diversity quotas exist. The fact that google has an opaque committee makes it ripe for such a problem suitable for environments behind closed doors.
P.S. I got the offer and rejected. So nice try, but this is about google and the current political climate, and not about me. So your ad hominem won’t work to your favor.
- I've always felt leetcode was least useful for Google amongst the larger companies. We ban most publicly available questions and generally assess more forgivingly: we look for ability to think things through rather than perfect regurgitation of a known solution. So focus on theory and general problem solving ability.
Interviewing is also a random process - even the best prepared person can be thwarted by chance. So, try and try again.
- I cracked the interview in my 5th attempt. So it's too early to be dejected. Couple of points that helped me nail it this time: 1) I focused on DP and backtracking coding problems 2) read a lot of white papers by Google to help with system design. Good luck
