How to answer when recruiter ask about visa sponsorship?

Do I just say I'm on H1B and have 2/3 year on it? Do I need to tell them I expect I can still renew for more years? Is this usually considered during interview stage or does it only come in after offer? This second class worker status sucks.

No.. You don't need to say that you want to be able to renew it. It is understood.. Just say h1b expires in example :2020..if the recruiter is knowledgeable about immigration, they usually say ' oh well.. That's plenty of time' and if they don't know anything, I haven't had anyone ask anything before. Also 'I want to be able to renew my visa' is not even a conversation you have during interview process, it is understood, unless you are going for a very small startup who really has no immigrants and don't understand h1b. Also agree about being second class worker :/

Are you a contractor by any chance ? Just curious.

Why would the answer differ if OP was a contractor though? Unless you mean if contract length is greater than visa validity

just say that you are on H1-B and tell them that your perm/i-140 is approved if you have them already. if not, donā€™t mention it..

Just say your I140 is approved so you will get continuous extensions forever. Most recruiters know about this.
