I had 2 different recruteirs from Amazon contacting me, for the same role but different teams. What should I do? Explaining: I applied through Amazon Careers website for a SDE position in Palo Alto, a few days later a recruiter from Amazon Seattle contact me via LinkedIn, she sent me a message saying that I could be a good fit for a SDE position on Consumers Organization. I told her thar I was interested but I’ve already applied for a SDE position a few days ago. She message me again with information about the team and a litte bit about the position, and ask for my resume, I sent her. Later on the day, a different recruiter called me about my application for the SDE position in Palo Alto, and told me about the role and that would be on AWS. I told her that a different recruiter contact me via LinkedIn. Now, both recruiters sent me email with information about the online assessment. I don’t wann step on toes or be rude to one of the recruiters, but don’t know what to do.
What team in AWS?
She didn’t mention, she just said that was with AWS, and the other one was with Consumer
Do any of them it doesn’t matter, they’re both linked. You can’t fail one and do another tho.
They both know it. Just had it happen today. Recruiter Reached out. Then 2 mins later goes like “i see your already in contact with x from amazon, in that case please go ahead with him for that opoortunity “
Do both, I was simultaneously in 4-5 different Amazon SDE interviews for the same roles at different countries. The painful part was sending the offer you want to the other recruiters. But they understand. And yes you can’t fail one and do the other, however.
Go with whoever has been there longer. Chances are they will have better contacts, relationships, processes in place
Thank you for the feedback
Pick the one you like more, go through online assessment, if you fail it, do the other one
