How to even get calls from these companies?

I have taken referral from Blind for Salesforce, IBM, Walmart, PayPal and MSFT but haven't recieved any response from any of these companies. All were for new grad software engineering roles. Not sure how to even get noticed by these companies? If anyone has connection till hiring manager and can get my Resume over to him, please dm or comment here. Also If anyone knows any hiring manager in their team who's currently looking for new grad master's profile, please let me know.

Blind referrals won’t help much. Connect to people on LinkedIn and keep constant interactive with atleast 12-15 of them. That’ll help you

For me, reverse is True as I initially tried contacting people on LinkedIn, Lot of people don't accept request there and even when they accept request they don't reply for my message for days. I found blind better when people atleast do respond to queries. Also I got calls from tier 2 companies just through stranger's referral from Blind. Thanks

I believe salesforce and Microsoft are not hiring new grads at the moment. Probably will reopen in a few months

Oh okay! Thanks

Salesforce does. New grad hiring is usually through Futureforce

For new grads it is extremely difficult as a lot of people apply and referrals don’t mean much (to be fair what exactly does a referral even mean for a new grad?). I’d branch out to smaller companies as some have said above it might not be the time of year to hire for new grads (at FB for example we are full for 2019 but haven’t yet started hiring for 2020 too aggressively).

But I saw people who applied through referrals even for new grad positions getting calls like in 2-5 days where my application is not even evaluated as of now. Can you let me know when would FB start hiring for 2020 aggressively? Also as I just graduated, will I still be considered new grad for a year or so? I don't have any previous Software Engineering Experience. Thanks

IBM is currently laying off a shit ton of people so that’s why you’re not hearing back from us.

Microsoft referral is blackhole. If you are new grad, you don’t need reference. Go to microsoft website and find out recruiter email for your university. Apply online and drop an email to them.

Yeah it looks like that only. Thanks alot, will do that.

Because you’re relying on strangers’ referrals. You need real referrals, real connections to help you find a role.

But I got calls for other companies through stranger's referral so I asked.

Just because you got lucky with a couple of company referrals, doesn't mean you will have the same result at other places. I agree with myan here. If I am referring someone to people who I know well, I will strongly recommend referrals only if I have worked with them before and know their work personally. For, everyone else, I just tell the hiring manager that I haven't seen this person's work personally.
