Joining FB as E4 with 5 yoe. What’s the likelihood I’ll get promoted after year 1? I’ve heard others getting promoted 6 months after joining, but surely that’s not typical TC 160
It doesnt work that way. It depends on your skills, ramp up time and ability to demonstrate you are awesome. No one will care about your yoe. You can get promoted within 6 months to years
I get that. But for someone who works hard, quick learner, and had previous project lead experiences... what’s typical?
I don’t know if there is a typical, it really does depend on you. If you are more productive and show better judgement than coworkers at your level you’ll get promoted. If you appear middle of the pack, you won’t.
I don’t know your location but 160 is low as heck
And cost of living here is low as heck too
1.5 yrs if you are solid. 1 year if you got down leveled. Average is 2-2.5 years. After 3 years if you cant get to E5, you will be fired ;)
Pretty good cause everyone above you is about to get fired (hopefully).
Must have been rejected badly
Other way around for me. I rejected Facebook just like many other colleagues. How does Zuckerberg’s coolaid taste anyway?
