I have done interviews with startup company. Mostly I will get a offer. I am wondering how to make sure it's worth of joining it. Startup had two series A funding worth of $20 mil now. Total employee strength is 70. Revenue is around $5 mil. Founded in 2014. What I am thinking based on their funding is they maybe cheap in terms of pay. Could that be right understanding?
Trajectory is not aggressive enough. Skip.
This is good advice. Startups are a gamble. This one likely will never achieve the “hockey stick” growth curve. They may be profitable but you’ll never reap huge rewards.
Are you staying there forever or just looking to gain experience? Who cares how it'll do in 10 years if you're not there anymore
Only startups worth it are the ones that end in .com instead of .io 😤.
what about ones that end is .es ?
What about .ai? I hear it's all the rage nowadays.
It's probably not
5 mil revenue for 70 people sounds so bad
Do they advertise the position as something they need a "ROCKSTAR" for?
What I look for it is: 1) are they burning money or almost breaking even? 2) business growth plans. If i am not convinced i ask them how is it going to succeed
