How to let office know I dont appreciate Fox News being played?

So my office has random TV's around that are constantly playing fox news.I just chalked it up to a bunch of old guys not knowing any better since this office is very old, but when our new private equity owners came in and toured our location they permaset the tv's to CNN for the duration of the visit, so apparently they know its not appropriate to have on but still have it on anyways.

gluteus is just a butthurt closet Trump supporter who pretends to adhere to American ideals yet chastises people for not blindly following orders.

Watch now he’ll claim he doesn’t support Trump or any politician 100%, and is really apolitical. Then he’ll go on some rant about how the economy is actually doing awesome and a lot of rich people want to see Trump fail and are making the American people pay for it.

And the economy is shit. Bring back the gold standard, abolish the federal reserve, or we are headed for a cliff. It happened to Rome and it will happen to us.

I don't understand how CNN is any better. They are the same disgusting drivel. Both of them are playing the game. Both of them are part of the lovely political reality TV show everyone is so excited about here in the US. Such a wonderfully simplistic facade to push in people's faces while the government fucks them from all sides.

Don’t be so triggered. Also watch it, you may learn something. People are tired of being lied to by CNN and MSNBC.

It’s no shock. You seemed to imply Fox lies less than the rest...which is absolutely false

      > “Also watch it, you may learn something. People are tired of being lied to by CNN and MSNBC.”

So then you’re saying people should watch Fox News, so they can be lied to by something other than CNN/MSNBC, except that by watching Fox News they will also learn “something.” 🤔

No, I’m saying by only getting your news from one source you are cheating yourself. You may learn something you never thought of before by expanding your horizons

Why does it make you feel uncomfortable?? You hearing things that aren’t in line with what you want to hear? That can be the best information if you listen to it.

Its not about being in line with. If people are being told immigrants are a certain way then I know this attitude will carry over to how they view people in the office. The black people there hold their heads down when they walk past the tv. Its kind of an embarrassing environment. It feels like watching something from the old documentaries with acting bits you would see about America on British stations about the civil rights movement.

This sounds like your own bias to me. Maybe people hold their heads down so they don’t block the TV! Ever thought of that?

Perhaps a bias is present, but it still keeps the question there.

What does a company get out of playing a station which presents anti immigration bias in an office with immigrant workers. Why did they feel the need to change it off when new owners came in? Why try to hide it when you subject everybody to it the rest of the time.

You’re hearing what you want to hear. So, yes your bias.

You’re confusing anti immigration with anti illegal immigration. There’s a big difference. You’re expecting the worst and will pick and chose words until it confirms the worst.

Yeah Fox is not okay to have on but CNN is? That's just cute. Do neither if you feel so strongly about accurate reporting. Instead, tape multiple layers of peer reviewed journal articles over the TV screens.

TV news is dumbed down for folks that don’t work during the day. Why have any of it on in the workplace?

If it bothers you, turn the TV off or change the channel.

We cant change the channel. Its permaset to Fox news except the day it was Perma set to CNN when the new owners came in.

The new trend is to avoid any media that feeds you a pre determined propaganda which includes all News and all sports channels.
It has gone beyond the matters of being just "biased". Fox is definitely the worst but CNN and MSNBC aren't worth my time either.

I watch/read FoxNews from time to time. Sometimes they pander to an audience I’m not part of, but so does CNN and other left aligned news stations.

I'd say you prefer more neutral and business related content. Steer clear from CNN and MSNBC as well. Since you want some educational sources I think Bloomberg and CNBC would be best. I'd take CSPAN over audience pleasing network news. Try steering them to the business channels at least.

Did you edit your post? You asked how to convince then earlier? I guess CNBC and Bloomberg do turn people off? That's one way to keep them off the TV then.
