I shit post on Blind, having fun, living in my bubble. I see trolls being racist, sexist bla bla. Doesn't matter. They seem harmless. But what do I do on days, when I see helpless folks posting- depressed, wanting to commit suicide, pressure on visa and even domestic abuse. I feel like a zombie some days , existing in a body doing absolutely no good to the world, just stuck in an ambitious race. I try and give money to the needy to make myself feel better but sometimes I feel should we live in a "dark mirror" system where people don't get away with crime? I read a post about domestic abuse on Blind yesterday and I can't sleep. I can't sleep knowing that we have this amazing anonymous platform but we can't help. Shouldn't there be some provisions on any kind of platform to flag posts of people who might be in danger? Despite knowing all the studies, that victims can't come forward easily, or depressed folks can't control their thoughts - why do we assume the onus is on them to come out of it. Yes I know there will be trolls but trolling will reduce if we start taking action on those posts and someone comes and helps you. I saw Uber launched ridecheck yesterday where they dispatch a person if they see your ride going haywire or accident . Why can't social media implement things like flag and receive a call or cops in dangerous situations. I don't know how to stop feeling sad. Trolls please refrain by saying - live in your bubble, grow your TC etc

I see the ads to donate; I’d rather they just run real ads and not ask for donations lol.

Worried that our top performer is an attrition risk. How do managers handle this?
It’s supposedly anonymous, what will happen after you flag for needing help?
That's what I'm saying. Anonymity is broken even in doctor-patient when circumstances are extingent. Why isn't it possible for platforms to reach out to their actual email/phone in cases where it might be required. Not saying everyone should know..but they should be able to engage with cops/social worker when circumstances require
You can reach out and offer your help. You can't force people to accept help, they may not need or want it.
