A lateral move. 2 years is a long time at a startup where you are not a "good fit." Start shopping around.
How about asking...what do I need to do to be a good fit?!?
Nope. After two years, if that's the response. You move on. Things move faster in a startup.
Move on and get a raise buddy.
There's two things I'm good at: FIFA, and hand jobs. One of those helps me advance my career
wow how does FIFA help advance your career?!
are you gay, female, or just very motivated?? lolol!!
Isn't the whole idea of a start-up to grow up as start-up grows -- ie, if company is doing well, many people get hired under you, your stock options are worth more, and so on
hows the startup doing? you may see more opportunities once they hit the 20M+ in ARR.
Start interviewing and get an offer from a company you'd consider working at - an offer that's a title and pay raise. Go to your current employer, only once offer is in hand, and tell them how much you enjoy the company, your role, and colleagues; however, you've been given an amazing offer from another company that you're seriously considering and you'd like to discuss your future at current company to better assess the offer. If the scramble to get you an offer that's a comparable title and pay raise (don't give them the exact terms of your offer) then the ball is in your court to decide what to do. That's really the way promotions and raises in 90% of the companies work.
