Hi,
I started off at 73k base and 10% performance bonus in June 2017 as associate SE. I got promoted this month and base has been increase to 91k.
Total exp: 4 years. 2 years as QE pre MS, 1 year internship and 1 year as SDE at Symantec.
Location: San Diego.

I spoke to manager and director, they said they have tried their best and suggested me to take it up with HR.

My question is, can I show the HR Glassdoor and paysa estimates that I am being payed peanuts?

An actual external offer would work better

H1 got picked and no company is ready to interview me until late Aug/Sept. My director is insisting that I speak to HR now.

Sorry, but the punt to HR is bullshit from your director. They should be able to make any comp changes directly and are just playing good/bad cop with you. Best way to get the raise you want is to tell them what you think you’re worth instead, based on your market research and speaking with colleagues at other orgs. Try to get another offer at the same time, but once you get it, you won’t likely stick around.

Others earning more isn't really a justification for a salary hike, especially if your source is a questionable site consisting of data points anyone can make up

That's the reason I am asking the question here. To get tips on speaking to the HR. My manager and director told me that I deserve more and being paid way less than what I deserved.

Then they should be doing a better job of fighting for you. If your managers / dept leaders can't get you a raise then you speaking directly certainly can't. This sounds like they want you to feel valued but aren't actually going to give you a bump. They're having you talk to HR as "proof" that they were telling the truth and/or they want to play the "good guys" to HR and don't want you to resent them.

Then just talk with HR saying your director and manager supports a pay increase since that looks to be your only bargaining chip. Though, I am not sure why your director and manager can't talk to HR directly themselves. If they don't give you a raise to your satisfaction, then just start getting ready to jump ship. At least then, you know how much the company thinks you're worth. You said you won't be able to interview until a couple of months have passed, but it'll probably take that long to get ready anyways

Lol they're definitely giving you the run around. If they truly believed you deserve more they themselves would speak to HR, not ask you to.

100k in SD sounds pretty okay to me. You’re just beginning your career.
