I'll have a technical phone interview soon with Google for a PhD level, 3+ yoe, engineering position. Recruiter only mentioned the same keywords that I could also find in job description. I have been looking for some other tips/hints to get better prepared for any [unexpected] questions. I could find some brain teaser questions that people are usually asked in even non-technical interviews. Also, one of my friends in the same field had 45min phone interview about six months ago with Googlers and he was asked for an open-ended math question (don't remember the exact question). Long story short, I am wondering if there is a good resource to practice for such math open-ended questions for Google interview? PS: I wish I could share more info on my field to get some tips but I think I would risk anonymousity!
Thanks a lot! I didn't know there exists such a cool website :) is it something typical for non-programming interviews at Google to ask such questions?

I'd guess it's similar to quant interviews.
Is this a fact that there will be always such questions in Google interview no matter what level/field? Obviously I never had interview with Google before and i have no idea.
For software, Google just does 1 behavioural + algo + msybe system design. I haven't heard of "open-ended math questions" at Google, but I have encountered those kinds of questions in quant interviews.
