How to rebalance 401k to minimize risk in 2019

I’ve been pretty lazy with my 401k. Everything invested into target date fund. But if seems like it underperforms on upside and downside. So not sure that to do here? Any ideas how to rebalance it?

Try blooom.com like services, they do rebalance once a quarter based on your profile.

Not sure how what benchmark you’re using to declare underperformance, but your attempts to rebalance might make it worse :) Don’t try to predict the market, continue to be lazy.

What's the actual fund symbol? And what other funds does your plan even have access to?

You'll make it worse. You'll locl your losses this way. Stay the course. Or don't invest in a 401k.

Currently everything in jtsyx. I do have access to some 27 mutual funds. Yeah, I am generally leaning towards just leaving it where it is. But thought I ask if people messing with 401k allocation in anticipation of wild ride in 2019
