How's working at SAP Concur these days?

I gather Concur has gone through some serious change management the last few years after the acquisition and recent reorg. Have things settled down? How's the work, tech, wlb, morale these days? Is it a good place to join at this point? WLB and decent comp with at least some interesting projects is my focus. Young kids so not interested in long hours or stretching to maximize TC for the next few years. What's the vibe around the office? People happy or no? This is for Bellevue senior SWE.

Heard there's plenty of politics and people shouting at each other in the hallways. Come to tableau if you want WLB

I heard, SAP Concur requires you to have a license in politics. Contact a few SWE on LinkedIn and ask about their experience. They are pretty open about it.

I'm really good at politics. Does that mean I stand a good chance of being CTO soon?

Yes!

It's a pile of crap, on fire, floating down a flooded street TBH.

How so?

So many people are leaving or have left. Massive projects are mismanaged. Lots of watermelon reporting - red at the bottom, green on top. Depends on your org to some degree. You looking at spend or travel?

Culture there is absolute trash. There are folks there who are either abusive or incompetent and should be fired but leadership has no backbone, so they maintain the shit culture.

Like who? VPs?

Any time I worked with the C-level I was very pleased. I’m talking two to three levels below that.

Wow, was browsing through comments about concur and found this thread. Based on more recent threads, it looks like the culture in a particular team has gotten worse. Are people leaving because of the work culture, or the low pay, or both? Why is the leadership not restructuring that team, since the attrition is obvious.
