What's a good salary for an HRIS director, with 10+ years of consulting experience across a wide range of HR products? I am being offered 135k + 30% bonus... is this good, or low?
Just outside of NYC
ok, good info. I think you are on par depending on the size of the organization. My sample size for NY is small, but the 3 I know of ranged from $130-$150 before bonus.
Thanks...seems like there's a very wide range. Saw a similar role at a similar sized org in the pharma industry at 225k + bonus
Yeah, it will depend heavily on the industry for sure. Some of these Cyber Security startups will pay big bucks but then there is the risk and pains of working at a startup. : / I'd look a lot at culture for sure. And do your homework of the leadership. I'd recommend asking employees they used to work with what they thought about their leadership style etc. Few different ways you can approach this professionally but it is worth it at a Director level in my opinion.
Varies a great deal. My comp says for a $3-6B company an hrit director is a national search. should earn $220k with 20% bonus at 50th %tile. $250k with 30% bonus @ 75th %tile. Sample size n~25. My experience is that HR surveys at companies are lower.
Thank you! What about for slightly smaller companies? 1-3b?
I don't have a cut of this data. I think it depends on the growth trajectory of the company, what's been done already, what you have to put in place, etc... plus there's the equity component.
210-260k plus 20-40% bonus in Southern California market. Add HR operations or Total Rewards and it will go to $300k
