What do you π€ about this? Is it just a cost that we have to bear? I thought one of the major reasons why the US wants to ban Huawei is so that there are more 5G US jobs. Am I wrong? But if the ban causes layoffs at these international companies that have offices in the US then it seems like the ban is achieving the opposite outcome. Poll question: do you think that banning Chinese telecom companies to do business in the US will create more US jobs? https://www.cnet.com/news/huawei-reportedly-plans-massive-us-layoffs/
Sure why not? Itβs a Chinese company and doing that in both retaliation and also makes more sense to keep their r and d in China.
They are laying off on research. It won't create more jobs. Most companies already have the engineers they need... it's more the physical labor of setting up the networks - they would get the same amount of work either way, possibly less now in fact.
anyone in US that went to work for this crooked company deserves what they got
People have many reasons for doing what they do. Some people have families, health problems, etc... and when a company comes along and is willing to pay you far more than anyone else, which will help you support your family and general life, that is very hard to turn down. Especially in the engineering community where engineers openly give zero fucks about you, will put you through a difficult interview process where every word is measured against you, and mock you online for asking for help. Also keep in mind that 1-2 years ago the bad things said about Huawei weren't much different about what was said about Google or Facebook... it all gets normalized in the flutter of information. Have a nice day.
Listen kool aid drinker, facts are facts and idgaf about families and health problems. This is America PLENTY OF OPPORTUNITY Huawei been doing messed up stuff SINCE IT STARTED. grow a spine.
Classic trump creating those jobs
