I know this is not WebMD, still posting it here to get suggestions. I finish my meal but my stomach still feels just as hungry as it was before starting the meal. It has that hollow or empty feeling that one has when one is super hungry. The food is enough for a person of my age. Even if I eat more food, I still feel hungry. And if I get a satiating feeling, I feel hungry in 2 hours. All that extra food I am eating us just adding to my weight and belly fat š I am clueless what's going on.
What are you eating? Foods high in protein, fat, and fiber will fill you up longer than refined carbs and sugar.
Mostly standard Indian diet - wheat bread, curry (not spicy) and lentils. Sometimes rice and curry. There are carbs in the bread I have but it's not white bread. Sugar intake is limited.
Used to feel this way, but I now eat complex carbs and protein with every meal. I feel satiated now. However I had to include regular workouts because of the carbs, but I still donāt feel hungry everytime now. Are you vegetarian?
Go to a doctor, not this place.
Unfollow the health section?
You probably have slow metabolism. The reason maybe a sedentary lifestyle and lack of exercise.
Not hungry without eating? Whataado?
Same with me I am losing weight, have to be extra careful with diet so not go below 60kg 132lbs
Just to sum up other posts: Eat more protein fat and fiber Drink more water Work out (lift) more to increase metabolism
I can't go to the gym because I am feeling hungry all the time. 10mins into the gym and I am holding my belly tight and drinking water to avoid the hollow feeling. I'll try the other things.
Eat while working out.
Drink a large tumbler of whiskey before each meal.
Gave up alcohol when I turned 30.
Your eating too many carbs, rice, bread, all of that is equivalent to eating sugar and contains no nutritional value. Eat a high protein and fat diet combined with a variety of veggies and lots of water.
Thanks
Carbs cause an insulin spike, resulting in a crash or feeling tired, and shortly thereafter causing hunger (not to mention resulting in fat gain). I would say eliminate carbs as much as possible, rice, pasta, bread, cereal, bagels, etc etc.
check for diabetes. it's a symptom.
Thanks, will do.
