Few days backs recieve approval notice from my immigration team regarding LCAapproval and they asked me send few information for I -140.The documents says my I-140 will be processed under EB3 classification.I got master degree with 2 years experience and one year experience in India.Am I not eligible to apply for EB2 classification.Looked it up online seems like I can but want to double check before I can ask my immigration team. Also what's are the other things to be considered for I140 application ? .apart from my considering to leave my current employer in few months or a year.
There are other factors in play. Does the job require masters degree? You should check with your employers immigration attorney to get details.
Eb3 and eb2 current dates are only a few months apart from each other
Did you get your Master's degree here? SDE? Should qualify for EB-2.
If you're from India it really doesn't matter. Your priority date isn't coming up before you retire either way. If one day they change the rules you can apply to move to eb2. In the meantime all you really care is that this makes you cap exempt for h1b.
What's it means 'your priority date is not up before I retire'.how can I know this information?.what's the use of my applying for green card then other than exempt.I justed started my carrier and in my first two years I have started with green card processing. Is there a way people start the process even before this?.How other have got their green card then?
It’s career not carrier. FedEx is a carrier. Learn more about green card processing using a search engine such as google. Understand the terms and look up the dates for your home country using a search engine like Google.
Other people got their green card because they got it before 2004-5. You won’t get your green card in the next 15-20 years because there is a huge line of Indians before you. The only advantage of I-140 approval is that your spouse can work on H4 ead
How long it took for you to get I-140 approval? .also do you know after approval you can resign within 6 months?
Depends on the he job you do i.e., its dependent on the position apart from your qualification. I think you can retain Priority date if you switch to EB2 in another company/position
I work as a software engineer
Yes, as mentioned below, the position should either require masters or 5 years ex as minimum
