I spend at least 3 hours every day researching tech billionaires, VC's hedge funds, money, and management billionaires and millionaires. How can I turn it into a full-time job - I have thought about podcast (but i have a very bad voice, too soft, no base, and heavily accented), newsletters, tv show (i have no previous experience). Any suggestions on how to turn this hobby into a full-time job? Thank you.
Blackmail
you mean i should blackmail? Point of clarification, please.
I was joking. Like, if you have all this data you’ve learned about billionaires and VCs, some of it has to be juicy? You know because no one ever worked hard for their money, they were just given it, or got it from some other form of ill gotten means. So, blackmail people for a full time job. 😎
@aldogjs totally agree! I just need a way to turn it to a lucrative gig.
Honestly if you can track their moves and trends, you can probably predict up and coming small firms, industries, and IPOs to invest in. Options trading on that knowledge is good too. And of course, if you start your own company and need VC funding, having knowledge of which fund is right for you helps!
Thanks! I'll look into it.
Make a fan website for ur favorite billionaires!
Good idea! Will try this: who is your favorite billionaire let me see if i can create a landing page real quick using WordPress. Any features idea you'll like to see included lol.
What does this even mean? You spend 3 hours googling their personal lives?
Yes, and how they make their money, their investments, how much they give to charity, and how long it takes them to make every billion dollars.
You’re a Gossip girl
Stop wasting time on 🐮💩 and grind LC. It's not the advice you want, but it is the advice you need.
Totally agree! Not everyone is cut out for grinding LC. I'm more on scripting, security engineering, and technical services analyst.
Cyber security is pretty hot these days too, so I hear. Either way--spend your time on something that will pay off. A weird, unhealthy obsession with billionaires is probably not that thing.
YouTube it.
Write books to teach others how to be one of them.
Thanks!
Doing research isn't the same as being in the profession though lol because in that case, every tech reporter should be giving advice on how to be an engineer(unless I'm mistaken, OP and you're actually in the field?)
