I keep forgetting

Words to make a sentence in a meeting, technical stuff related to my job, some items from my to-do list. So dependent on my cell phone to look everything up. Am I getting old or this is an early signs of Alzheimer? TC 140k In my mid 30s.

How’s your sleep?

Microsoft thefob OP Nov 13, 2019

Good in terms of hours. Not so good in terms of quality. It was never so good in the past 10 years. I am dreaming a lot! I am tired from sleeping and need a lot of time to wake up and get up from bed.

Sleep apnea

Microsoft Grumpy2 Nov 12, 2019

Serious question: are you very stressed? This could be a sign of stress.

Microsoft thefob OP Nov 13, 2019

Everyone tells me I am stressed but I dont think so. I mean I have a lot of to-dos that I want to do someday that popping into my head but I am not sweating or having rapid heartrate.

just memorize "inclusive" and "growth mindset" and you should be good.

I have the exact same problem. Turning 33 in few weeks. Not just forgetting stuff. My brain doesn’t seem to work as good as before...

American Express gandalf$$ Nov 12, 2019

My brain doesn’t work past noon lol. IQ drops by half when in front of a whiteboard. You can try provigil ; viagra for the brain. Disclaimer, I’m no doctor.

Same. Never heard my parents complain of this stuff but maybe they weren't as stressed at their jobs.

30's and Alzheimer's! The doom is here.

Could be a sign (very common) of lack of sleep. Also could be an issue with blood sugar if you are diabetic. I find that French Pine Bark helps with memory (Pycnogenol). It takes 3-6 months for effects to become noticeable however. Our brain is everything in tech. This must be super frustrating and worrisome. I hope you get it sorted out. Good luck OP!

No longer so important here.

Get a thyroid check and also vitamin D.

Microsoft thefob OP Nov 13, 2019

I did. Normal results.

Amazon Trigg Nov 13, 2019

Me too, then I went to a naturopath and she said normal is not normal for everyone. I got on thyroid meds for two months and heavy vitamin D and new brain. All better. Western medicine and docs are overall, limiting.

Splunk 83y3h Nov 13, 2019

Same for me. Pretty sure it's stressed related, or related to the amount of molly and adderall I took in college. Watch your diet and sleep. Shit in, shit out.

Sleep well for a week. Take melatonin if you need to. If issue persist, rule out early onset of Alzheimer’s.

It's very easy to have undiagnosed high blood pressure. If it goes unchecked long enough, it can cause brain damage. I see the same kind of stuff in my dad, and that's what happened to him. Also, cut out any kinds of energy drinks, as those only make it worse.
