I am very confused because Amazon’s interview was (waay) easier. Anyone been in this situation?
Nope..But would love to..How can I make this happen???
The interview process is fairly random; I got offers from some top companies while being rejected by others (including Amazon). When you're interviewing with 5-6 of the 10s of thousands of engineers at a big company, it's very likely that random chance will play a huge role in whether you get an offer or not.
Yea could be the variance in tech interviews.
Did the Google interview happen after your Amazon one? I had 4 on-sites in quick succession and I got better each time: bombed, borderline but no offer, offer, offer.
Yeah google was two days after amazon
Amazon interview process is a fiasco. They fuck up repeatedly. I am not surprised by your story at all.
My experience is the opposite. Amazon had a much more logical, well thought out interview process than Google.
^ username checks out.
Would love to have this situation!!! You got Google's offer. WTF care about Amazon's? Wanna be a coding slave?
Amazon focuses heavily on the bs behavioral part. A friend of mine was in the same situation as well
No, never.
It just means you are a good fit to Google's culture but not Amazon's. Also you're lucky, stay away from Amazon.
Same here. I failed Amazon as I was very annoyed with bar raiser and here I am with Google
