Does IBM has policy that you have to work with ibm for minimum 2 years in order to start gc process? I heard this from a manager. I wonder if manager is just telling this to avoid filing it now or its a actual policy in IBM. Can somebody please shed some light over it. TC: 108k
2yr min is not a requirement, depends on account mgr or Executive not necessarily your manager. IBM started my GC Eb1 within 3 months of joining.
Heard the 2 year rule from multiple people currently in the midst of GC processing, but it can be expedited with exec approval.
Are you talking about 2 years before initiating gc process? Or you are referring to 2 years once IBM starts your gc process? Approval from program director would work? Or it should be up hierarchy, as in VP level?
2 years before initiating. Director or VP level approval is required, so they might still approve without 2 years at IBM,
Just move to another company, they'll keep giving excuses and their process is so slow - takes 3 yrs. Other tech companies are much faster and file on day1

Don’t know about IBM. But my company told me that they won’t sponsor EB1b until I work here for 2-3 years. I got it via 1a but I also heard that the official policy and what actually happens in terms of when and who to sponsor can be different, it can differ by managers as well. Filing for your GC can cost them 25k or so.
