I don’t feel pigeonholed coding In XpressO. It’s actually a nice language and you focus more on system design than anything else. It has limitations but for what we do it works really well. I do some java still and I prefer XO tbh. Most engineers should be able to pick up a new language in no time anyway. Do you want to be pigeonholed coding in Java or Go or whatever? It’s the same thing imo. You’re not guaranteed to be coding in the same language when you switch jobs no matter what your current language is.
