Just overheard our company's plans for an IPO late this year. This is my first, so I am super ecstatic. What was your reaction when you heard of an IPO? How did it turn out?
IPO day was fun. Lots of excitement. Stock preceded to drop 40% from IPO price. Most days I forget we’re a public company. In the end, not that much really changes.
But didnt you make $$? Given your pre ipo stock options
Not if it drops 40%
Rumors man. Used to work at a Saas startup. They dangled IPO for 7 years. (I left after 2) they are a unicorn now. Still haven't IPO'd.
I was happy until I found out that the number of options I have isn’t worth more than a regular 10% bonus of previous company of my paycheck
Looker is going ipo?
I first heard rumors of an IPO at my last company about 2 years before the IPO actually happened. Rumors don't mean much. There's all kinds of things that can happen between "maybe looking into thinking about considering possibly having an IPO perhaps" and it actually happening.
