In the past, I've taken up seemingly good offers asap out of fomo and bird in hand. I've also been rejected in the past as a newbie so I feel that way more so. Anyway, I was curious what the ideal way to switch jobs is and how much time one must allocate to this process. Do you tend to interview for practice initially, going for better companies later? Do you tend to schedule interviews optimally while somehow balancing current job? Wondering what's realistic and ideal.
I usually do phone interviews spread out on PTO days over a month (going from practice to target companies), lock in onsites and schedule them all in a week. Makes offer deadlines match up so more educated decision, more $$$ and more π₯
Over how much time is this process?
