If so which company and why?
Robotic Process Automation
Your question is very badly drafted my friend you need to specify what job you have today and why would you want to go to robotic process automation then you ask people what their opinion would be based on their situation. if you want better answers I would suggest you modify your question.
Thanks for that amazing criticism. I think I will wait for people to respond who actually know what RPA is. Go back to your books and keep reading some more.
I know what IRA is.
Irate, ritualistic Aussies?
Are you working at SAP? SAP has acquired a RPA solution back in 2017 and they are trying to automate most the tasks. Do you want to move to RPA team within same company?
There is no real RPA team within SAP or one that is expanding, at least not in my role. Just the legacy team exists from the French acquisition. Looking outside.
I’ve used RPA on my job and I have a few comments. It’s a piece of shit if you’re a developer. If you’re a BA or business person trying to automate something, sure go for it. It’s easy to use. But if you know how to code use python or selenium for god sake. The license costs are outrageous, you are relying on their layer of software to automate tasks. The amount of resources it requires is stupid compared to what a simple script can do
What’s the level of coding one needs to do rpa work? If full on developer, why would work work in this area as opposed to a full on developer role and get paid the big bucks...
RPA is pretty stupid. Hyped up by marketing and backed by consultants who don't have any technical knowledge (just look at the roles these RPA "unicorn" companies are hiring for). Requires users to define step-by-step processes, which at that point you may as well just write a script.
What the hell is RPA?
