https://projects.seattletimes.com/2018/one-center-city/ This whole thing basically sounds like a sh*tshow for anyone who has to get downtown in the next few years. No wonder HQ2 isn’t here. I’ve known this city has a preference for bike riders (to the point of ridiculousness) but these plans to make more bike lanes seem extremely shortsighted. When people have to move to Everett because they can’t afford the city are they expected to bike to work? Also, important question, why is the WA Convention Center being expanded? Who asked for this? They have 1 event a year that people sort of care about (ECCC). Did we vote for this?

Fuck the fucking bicycles. I thought we threw out McSwine, when will this shit end? 🍆
Damn
We need a real subway system. No more buses in that tunnel. Actually run the train at a decent speed.
It’s so late for a subway though. I can’t imagine how long that would take as well.
At the rate Seattle is growing, we are going to need it soon enough. No half measures (buses) please. Extending the light rail to Bellevue is a great plan, we also need to drastically increase the speed. Imagine if we just got rid of the buses, increased the speed of the trains on the existing line, and improved the stations (more escalators)
2041 will be here before you know it! https://www.geekwire.com/2017/seattle-area-transit-ridership-growing-faster-big-u-s-cities-options-way/
We’re so screwed
Amazing. Every word of what you just said was wrong. 🍆
Yeah that’s exactly it, because gasoline powered cars don’t have a point of failure in requiring cheap and plentiful supplies of oil
