...sterotypical D&I issues on my team, and it’s impacting my performace. I’ve given it 5 months and numerous talks with my manager but they assume I’m too “nice” to do anything about it. Now it’s affecting my connect and I feel they did go to HR since I’m a D&I point. Should I complain to HR if I have documented proof? Whenever I try to speak up, they dismiss it as me being young and try to bully me into staying quiet. My only saving grace is that I work part time with a team of CVP’s who love me, and have allowed me to have company wide impact so my management can’t claim that I’m an idiot, or lazy as I’m doing a lot. It’s affecting my performance on my team as I feel demotivated due to the toxic culture as I feel every week my manager tries to start some BS. He also tried to sleep with me for 3 months but I rejected him as I don’t sleep around like that, and since I now work with CVP’s I have to keep a clear reputation. Another further point of solice is that the main person on the CVP team doesn’t like my manager so I know it’s not just me. My manager is so obsessed with painting me as a bad person and I have no clue why as I am having very high impact with high visibility.
If your manager actually tried to sleep with you, you should definitely report to HR. They will take it very seriously. We don't need managers like that so I hope he is fired.
There’s no proof he made sure to make passes during our 1:1 and I did flirt back sometimes. He’s married with kids so I don’t want to ruin his life, I just want him to stop causing drama for me every week.
You don't need proof. HR will investigate. If they can find more evidence, they will handle it. If they can't, they won't But it's not your responsibility to prove anything.
If you have proof he tried to sleep with you then tell HR and it will be fixed. If not find another team and role.
I have no proof of that he’d just flirt hard during our 1:1’s and made a lot of innuendos.
I do have proof of him berating me over email with other people on the email.
