In house recruiter or external recruiter?

I am a engineering manager, recently both in house recruiter and external recruiter worked for Amazon reach out to me at linked in, who should I work with for opportunities of Amazon? Pro and cons?

Which one should he write back to. Although since the recruiting process at Amazon is decentralized, unless it sounds like they are recruiting for the same team the answer is "both"

External / Agency recruiters are useful for finding you roles you wouldn't normally know about. But if there's a company you specifically want to work for you should deal directly with them and their internal recruiters.

That’s wrong. Recruiters are incentivized to get you a higher salary as commission is based on that. It doesn’t come out of your end. It’s a separate recruiting budget. Good agency recruiters will often be able to get you a higher salary than you would yourself.
