The UI is so bad and the jobs listed on there are stale. do any of you actually use it? How does indeed have all that money to pay high TC with such a bad product?
Indeed sucks

I used it almost exclusively in my last job search and landed several good offers. IMO there are good opportunities posted, but you have to spend a lot of time sifting through the junk first. One thing I like about the site is that the search is pretty good and the interface makes it easy to blast out resumes quickly. Edit: What I've really found to be useless is recruiters. Every single on-site I've gotten that I can think of (and I've done at least a dozen) was through applying directly rather than through a recruiter. The one exception is if the recruiter works at the company that's hiring. But every job search so far I've spent a ton of time on phone calls and emailing with third party recruiters and all of that so far has been a waste of time. I think your job search will be several times more efficient if you just ignore recruiters.
This! I have wasted so much time with recruiters. If I am making my resume clear enough for you to understand, don't make me answer "Could you talk me through your resume?". I literally read it verbatim as all I wanted to showcase is already in there. And then they say "really impressive". Nice talking to you. And then the hiring manager calls me next. Have wasted hours and hours of my time with them.
Yep, and then most of the jobs they want to push on you aren't actually good matches for your skills and experience or aren't where you want to go with your career. Then when you talk to the actual companies, they are less interested in you right away because you applied through a recruiter. If your back is against the wall and you have lots of free time then maybe it's worth a shot, but otherwise it's just a waste. There are much better alternatives.
😢
Lol don't feel bad, I've gotten multiple offers thanks to Indeed, and I've noticed the website has improved a lot in the last few years as well.
Don’t cry Indeed, I like you.
Indeed site sucks. But they pay crazily high, at least in Austin.
Lol no. Consistent pay below market value has led to many, many high performers leaving recently. Most people here could be making more elsewhere. Indeed knows this. If you don't like it, guess what? There's some one right behind you willing to do your job for shit pay.
Genuinely curious, what places in Austin pay more? ‘cus sign me up!
Their alerts are helpful to me.
There are people who are trying to make changes but there are also many conservative asshole trolling leaders who have been with the company for too long... Most of the money comes from companies that sponsor their job posts to get higher visibility.
I hope rationality takes over and the redesign is done
“Many conservative asshole trolling leaders” ... damn, tell us how you really feel. 😂
Don’t bully me😢
Heard we had a new UI in place but someone in the leadership rejected it so back to square one😫
In Canada indeed is as good as LinkedIn-UI sucks though

How to save India from destruction?
Lol Indeed. I guess it’s mainly for contracting work and not FTE focused.
