Can any Indian please tell me how did you get the job in US, Canada or Europe and now working at good company or cool Startup?

Is it possible for me to get sponsorship right after the college as a new grad?

P.S: I am currently in 3rd year and really want to work outside of India and looking for internships outside of India as well and interned at TCS previously.

Only if youโ€™re world renowned and have a stellar reputation. Otherwise companies hire from schools, so get into the school first.

I don think OP understood. It's not about which is more important on the resume but rather that a master in US automatically gives you a VISA to work here for 3 years. And during that time should be easy to get an offer and H1B visa.

  • Microsoft just do.
US very difficult, only if you are in top 10 eng colleges then chances are just 1%.
    Europe..you can try..visa is not a problem.
Check for companies in Europe and apply on their website.

Pick a school with strong internship/co-op opportunities. US experience is highly respected for new grads. Having said that, a bit of an effort and hard work is definitely needed.

Why do you want to come to the US or any other country? Let me make a quick guess, its because of the money! As young as you are now, i dont blame you. Years from now you will realize that even if you had landed in some other country making money in $ , per say, you would realize that its the same life- no mattwr how much you make you would still aim for more. At a stage where you are now, assimilate things , make mistakes and understand. You will go a long way.

@Apple It's partly for money and partly because I want to explore and enjoy some time of my youth.

If you are thinking that you would live a life like young guy in USA dating hot chicks, partying etc....that's not gonna happen mostly. Most of Indians after coming to abroad stay in their circle, surrounded by Desi's. Forget Desi's,many of them just surrounded by their local state people like gujrathi's with gujjus etc... Hot chicks run away from Desi's. If you are unlucky, you might get fat white chick. You can do partying but that you can do in India as well in metro cities like Delhi,Mumbai,Banglore. So unless you just want to come for money and growth, abroad make sense. But exploration and enjoying youth is BS reasons. If you are really looking for growth then come to US,study here get a degree, chances of you getting high paying job easily would be very high than sitting in india. If you have degree from US, stepping up ladder in organization in USA also become more easier than if you directly come from India through organization.

Getting an education locally is the more easy way to do it.

Another harder way is to come in as a consultant/contractor and then interview around for a regular full-time job. You will be living the #2nd class citizen life tho. It's not glamorous at all. You get ostracized all the time.

A third way is to work for a company's branch in India and then move to their branch in another country.

If you are good, you will find your own way - Masters or without. Sadly you are focusing on wrong aspirations to become good.

Look towards a US MNC or Startup in India. Itโ€™s better than the MS option. You will get opportunities to go to US, Canada, EU, Australia, NZ.
