Intel folks: Thoughts on Venkata (Murthy) Renduchintala?
How is he doing so far? Is he the guy to turn Intel around and keep them from becoming the next AMD, given all the headwinds that the company currently faces?
Things are definitely in a state of change, and Murthy seems to be behind most of the efforts. Thankfully, he’s turning the company on its head and doing things differently. Internally, we’re seeing good disruptive measures being taken. With Raja and Keller on board, we might see a dream team emerge.
Hard to tell what to attribute to him but some things are questionable for sure like attempting some of the same tactics, using the same people, as he did at Qualcomm. That didn't work out so well for him or Qualcomm.
I haven’t seen anything from Murthy. He has introduced some largely unsuccessful products. Most people I know feel that he cannot communicate and has a grossly overinflated view of himself. The guy is way over paid. I personally can’t stand the guy. I think he is a BOZO who was hired by another BOZO.
I Think that Murthy os doing things different from before hardware team managed by Keller seems an improvement from Amir F

He's more of a business optimization guy that might yield results in short term.. Second the no vision point.
Murthy is a loud mouth, self absorbed, disgusting fat fuck who needs to be thrown out on his fat ass. The guy was hired by the psychopath BK who almost universally screwed up everything he ever tried to accomplish. The big fish is gone now (BK). All of the sucker fish who were his buddies need to be flushed or eaten by the next big fish.
I don't know anyone technical who has good opinion of Murthy. Ego and windbag are works people use.
That has been going on for a while. Not every worker & not every leader, but it is a problem and it's getting worse.
