Hey all - how do you avoid transaction fees when traveling abroad from USA? What kind of credit card? Some type of service that has no international fee charges? Let me know! Much appreciated. I have a checking and credit card with JPMorgan if that helps.
Almost all credit card companies have some sort of travel card. Check out details. I have one from Capital one and Chase.
I use Chase Sapphire Reserve or my Amex platinum. But no foreign transaction fee is pretty common for all travel focused credit cards. But you loose a little bit in exchange rate any way.
Chase Sapphire, no conversion fee.
All capital one cards have 0 forex fees (even the debit ones)
apple card ๐ no fees ever
Look for a card that doesnโt have foreign transaction fees. https://thepointsguy.com/guide/top-cards-with-no-foreign-transaction-fees/amp/
Capital One has a no fee credit card. I paid over 500 in international fees for a week away from US using my Wells Fargo card, should have used Capital One instead..
Sapphire Reserved
Chase Sapphire or Citi Prestige. Both also offer Global Entry credit, well worth it.
