Internship at current company or away
Currently a field tech, but in school for Compuer Engineering. Want to know if Verizon will allow me to do internahip with them or would I have to go outside the company and would I get the summer off to do so. hopefully someone in the VZ family knows the answer.
You could definitely do an internship with them. I did an internship initially and then was extended a full time offer. Don’t know your age, but we had a past AT&T field tech with us who was over 30. They did great and we both work full time now in different IT teams. I think it depends on your specific management on whether they would allow the summer off. My manager wouldn’t if I was interning in another division.
I am in the exact same position. I would like to do a summer internship somewhere, but I think going outside Verizon would be best
