Internships

I have a friend at SCAD ATLANTA that wants to come home for the summer and is seeking an internship. She's a Jr Graphics Design Major with emphasis on Motion Media. She's had some UX & UI coding but it isn't her strength. She's also Adobe Certified Associate in Graphic Design & Illustration Using Adobe Illustrator Any referrals or thoughts on what companies to target? Is it too late for a summer internship?
