Interview phone call... they didnt call, how to react?

So, few days ago I've got a confirmation about time and yesterday at assigned time nobody called from the company.
I was waiting for 20 minutes. Then I've contacted the hr, he said he will find out and that never got back from him yrsterday.
This morning he sent me an email, without explanation or anything, what happened yesterday and why I wasted 20 minutes of my life in awaiting.
Don't feel any motivation anymore for this particular role. Seems they don't value people's time.
The company is Apple

How you guys usually react for those kind of situations?

    That's how I react to getting blown off. They failed my interview of them. Screw em. If they're disrespectful to me this early in the hiring process - they'll openly take a dump on me once I'm in the door.

    Move on and forget about them.

    Recruiters are usually entirely different from the company in general, I have found.

      Yes that’s also true. Had a bad impression of a tech co who tried to headhunt me. He kept calling me totally random names. Like Jack and Brian different. Clearly the recruiter was mass headhunting or just plain lazy. And he turned out to be a talent contractor.

      Agreed, the hiring guys are only just barely associated with the company in terms of work ethic and culture. They're generally extremely unorganized with following through on things for some reason. Recruiters ghost people ALL THE TIME, and I'm not sure why the industry accepts this. Companies have no quality control on their recruiters

    • That guy is not regular HR, he is internal. I applied from another Apple team through internal tool. So, he has to be in touch with his hiring manager. He even located in the same building with them.

    Before making rash decisions, understand what happened first.

    If they simply stood you up, then definitely stand on your ground and look elsewhere. It’s a clear sign of the company culture and how much they value you.

    If not, and there was a genuine mistake somewhere, let them know and give them the avenue to make an apology. This shows empathy on your end and you get brownie points with your potential employer. Great leverage later.

    Dude, before I joined Apple, twice they did not call me on the designated time. The manager called me randomly later and asked me if I wanted to do testing for him. I know that this guy is the biggest narcissist I have ever seen after I joined Apple and now I know that this guy runs around with his head cut off and he purposely didn’t call me to establish dominance. So you know what to do, run away from these bastards, unless they call you back and express this was a honest mistake.

    Could’ve been a miscommunication. Figure out how bad you want it first then determine how much effort you want to put into reaching back out again and rescheduling
