I just graduated college. I received a job as a threat analyst in Dallas,TX making 81k a year w/ 8k yearly bonus. What are some things I can invest in. I currently have a Roth IRA and 401k. I invest on the stash app as well. Is there anything else I should be investing in?
Index funds.
This. When the market drops, buy even more. At 22 share price and yearly fluctuations are minor considerations compared to time in market. Also consider what you're investing for. I wanted a car so a few years of low risk/return (CDs, Short/intermediate term bond mutual funds) got me there. That allocation is vastly different than what I do for retirement.
Don’t have a set thing that I’m investing for, but I know I would like to invest outside of my retirement accounts.
Pmd you
I'm in a similar situation, any advice?
Day trading is your best bet start small and grow
Can you PM me as well? Also 22.
Index funds. Also buy your own house / mortgage if you’ll stay for at least 5 years
I’ve also been getting great returns on ETFs
Which ones?
Save money and buy any property when market crashes.
See if you guys have mega backdoor Roth and contribute to it. Though at only 80k might be hard for you to max unless you love frugally
I would also buy a townhouse or triplex, live in one and rent out the others
You can start with investing in sp500 etf to begin with
Recommend going through the "get started" flow at wealthfront. It'll give you a good example of a high level asset allocation strategy including examples of index funds / ETFs that give you exposure to each asset class.

Here's an idea. Save money for the next few years and buy a cheap property with a small house in low cost of living area near you. Take what you saved for the initial payment (shoot for 40% of value) get a mortgage for the rest. And rent it out. As long as rent > mortgage + taxes + fees related to renting. You make money month to month and eventually own the property . Sell 10 years later
Thanks, I’ve been looking into this as well
