I’ve been looking to invest 20k in ETF but I’ve a few questions that I hope someone can help me with I’m planning to buy VOO (S&P 500 ETF from vanguard) 1. what is the difference between buying it using vanguard or Robaonhood? which one should I use 2. in vanguard it sayd the expense rate is .03, is it the same also if I use Robainhood? 3. how often the returns? is quartly or annually? thanks in advance
1) since both won’t charge you transaction fee, it’s the same. Use whichever is more convenient for you. (I personally use Vanguard: I don’t trust Robinhood). 2) yes. Expense ratio is on the ETF itself regardless of which broker you use. 3) do you mean dividend? Those are quarterly. If you mean capital gain returns, then those happen only when you sell (hopefully at a price higher than you bought).
no reason to use robinhood over etrade/fidelity/TD/schwab now after they all got rid of fees
Use any major brokerage firm since they cut commissions. Can’t do anything about internal expenses, that won’t change, unless you’re getting a discount by using vanguard to buy vanguard etfs. IMO the other td/Schwab etc will give you more flexibility to buy other company etfs as well. An ETF acts just like a stock, the price fluctuates daily and dividend returns usually on those etfs are monthly but sometimes quarterly.
Buy Bitcoin.
Don't buy the SP500 right now IMO. This advice is usually wrong but for the next quarter almost anything else will perform better.
bet ur wrong
How much?
