Am I the only one who sees the irony in the amount of paper/plastic is wasted and trashed in climate change rallies? If the people are so concerned, can't they just rally without needing one banner per person? And before people jump on my throat since it's blind and logic has long left this place, let me clarify, I am up for protests/rallies, but some of them just feel insencere and done because people want to show off how much they care. (And social media likes) I just feel there is a better way to do it.
I’d suggest taking the Ghandhi(starvation) route this time, helps save food too.
It’s not about the climate for them. It’s about control and money.
Thats the point, if you start looking at the bigger picture and who tends to benefit from propagandas like cryptos and so on. Everyone is doing this in so many ways, even corporations.
I’m sure the vast majority of them also drove a car to get to the rally
Or private jet.
What is even more ironic, is that China doesn’t give a shit about climate change and pollutes much more air than US, and dumps all their plastic into the ocean, and white people now need to be vegans because of that. And of course use shitty public transport instead of driving suvs. They build 2 fucking coal electric plants every week! Think about it.
Stop complaining about others and start taking the action you can today, its about everything, not just climate change.
Why does China pollute more than us? Because it produces things to sell it to consumers in US. You're looking at the data wrong. It's like in US, some states produce way more pollution than the others, but that's because they produce things for the entire country to consume. So it would be incorrect to blame them alone. The true metric for emissions/pollution is consumption volume. An average consumer in us consumes way more than an average person in China. But I don't want to get into this debate, because I'm not gonna preach to you how you should live. I'll do my part and I'm happy about it.
LOL, I always like to ask a few questions to the global warming believers and most of them know very little about the theory they so fiercely support.
I do think people care but plastic waste and trash have become so normalised in our society that people don't even realize what they are doing. Would be good if one of the speakers pointed out the inconsistencies
everyone should bring recycle bins to their local rallies and eat vegan 🌱
