He has a successor in John Stankey. Randall was on his way to retirement anyway.
Unlike another post on blind about one of the subcompany CEO's - this is about the real CEO of AT&T.
Randall should have been fired after the failed TMobile merger
With the sudden exist of Donavan, it look like Stankey is destine to replace the current CEO eventually. Look like the hedge fund have other candidate in mind?
Donovan prolly left bcos he got wind of Stankey as next in line to CEO. Just my opinion but I don’t think he wanted to report to Stankey.
That makes sense.
If Randall is dumb then Stankey is dumber
T-Mobile deal is the dumbest thing I have seen or heard of In Acquisitions and Mergers. I want to buy T-Mo but if it fails I will give you $2.5B. My prayers will be let it fail so I get $2.5B for doing nothing.
I think people are suddenly realizing that buying a bunch of media and streaming shit you don’t understand could potentially result in losing a lot of money. But this is pure speculation.
