So I am a currently an undergrad and would be applying for new grad roles for 2020. I was wondering if codeforces was a better alternative to leetcode in general, and whether being decent at codeforces style competitive programming gives you an edge during interviews at FAANG.

What are your opinions on this?

Thanks a lot!

Just leetcode. CF is for competitive programming not interviews. I did tons of CF problems for ICPC but never felt I needed them to pass interviews.

Leetcode is enough but if you find it elementary then you can always rampup to CodeForces.

Got it! as of now, I do find leetcode mediums and hards a bit tough, so yeah, I guess codeforces is not the way to go.

Nice ! If you planning to work in the us in top tech companies, then leetcode should be sufficient. Top tech companies here don't really look at the speed at which you code, but the approach you take. Interviews are way different in the US than in India. It's not about memorization here.
