For nyc locations go if you want to walk out with blue balls every time.

Women come to workout with makeup on and their hair done. No not after work numb nuts

If you want to check out good looking women come and pay $300 per month

I like to look at all the men with sub10 bodyfat and nice muscles. So it goes both ways.

  • I had a membership there for 3 years in the past. It’s a good gym with nice equipment. The staff was always friendly and courteous. The lunchtime yoga classes were good.

No it sucks and it’s an elitist club. I was a member for over a year. They have a policy that if you cannot pause membership within first year and you’re responsible for full monthly fee if you travel and don’t use the club.

I will never sign up for an equinox member again. The general manager there, Marco xxx, doesn’t give a damn about customer service. I voiced this issue and he doesn’t care to resolve this situation w me.

    Is AAA membership worth it?

I've been a member for 3 years now. It's worth it for me. I got 15-20 a month. I also have a personal trainer there.

If you're into fitness, great place! If you are trying to get fit and serious about it, also great place. (Get a 12 pack of personal training sessions to start, trust me- with it) If you're not ready to commit to it/testing the waters, start with a cheap gym (like 24 fitness or planet fitness), see how many times you go. Then revaluate.

How much did the personal training cost you on top of the 240 per month?

$110 per session, pack of 12 costs $1320, for a Tier 2 trainer. I didn’t know anything about lifting weights and had already spent 8 months going regularly to planet fitness with no real results. I understand that's expensive, but I'm also a DINK - dual income no kids. If you get a membership to just one Equinox it's $150/mn.

Other option if you're serious, Crossfit. They're a no frills gym, but you'll develop a bond with the people there which is good motivation to get you to go regularly.

But I like my Eculyptus towels and nice showers better.

Yes. Equipment is high quality and the crowds are smaller. Have been to 24 and equinox at peak times and good luck getting equipment at 24. I've seen lines formed at every cardio machine at a 24 hour fitness at 7pm in early January.

Only if you're there to network or meet people. Or if you really use the pool.
