Is Facebook using your conversation for ads and Facebook feed algorithm?
And Adobe is monitoring your webcam and computer behaviors and uploading them to the NSA. That’s what the updates are for 😈
No. Absolutely not. It doesn't happen, and never did.
Hi mark
In all seriousness, it appears Facebook is using background conversations to drive in-feed ads. It's really not hard to detect, just talk with friends about some product with your feed up and watch the ads change. Settings --> Privacy --> Microphone, turn Facebook and Messenger off.
They've confirmed they don't pipe audio files back. But thats suspiciously short of saying we don't use data from microphones. What about transcript or keywords? They're doing something for sure
If we could voice to text that well, you’d know because we’d have products and advertising talking about our amazing voice to text capabilities. Correlation is not causation. If you’re that impressed by the ads being paired with you, you can always send kudos to the ads team.
your conversation 2>&1 | NSA
No. They have enough info on you that they don't need to.
I can confirm that very specific verbal dialog I’ve had during phone locked / screen off has been followed with very specific targeted ads on facebook (within hours) greater than 10 times in less than a month.
Yes and they pipe that data straight to NSA.
