It's all in the title
I use one on my motorcycle helmet
It’s still a neat device for skating, despite mediocre sensor and buggy App. Drones and cheap gimbals are eating the market share, it is the next point and shoot
While there are a lot of cheaper alternatives out there, such as Akaso, etc. , GoPro still has the largest number of supported accessories and such, especially for higher end or more specialized things. Eg. Akaso with its dive housing can only go down to 40m, where GoPro can go 60m with its supersuit. GoPro also has more supported filters and lenses. For every day usage like for hiking or snowboarding, I think cheaper alternatives are just as good.
I would not recommend Akaso for diving. The color was all fucked up at 10m+
Pretty depressing.
I think Xiaomi or some Chinese consumer hardware maker will acquire them, someone that wants to launch a slew of new products in the US. Few hundred million is a good price to pay for a well known reliable brand. Buy and hold that stock. I'm yet to hear a single product complaint from any go pro owner I know.
They're a penny stock now 😂
They've got a lot of laurels to rest on, judging by following. So, bad heading but a lot of glide left.
Lost out on drones. Tech fell behind on bread and butter product, running on fumes like Mac pre-Intel. Founder played some dirty finance tricks and is worth more than the company, came from finance parents. Doesn't look like it has the killer instinct to turn around anytime soon.
