Say a person has basic CS fundamentals, devotes 6 months to full-time Leetcode. Is Google doable ? Anyone has stories to share ? TC: N/A
100% you can crack google . Prepare solid. Get quality work and you are in .
can i DM you ?
Yes sir but I ain’t SWE
Idk man, I was asked a 3 dimensional dp on phone screen. I felt like they want the best competitive programmers
i didn't even know 3d dp is a thing lol
It sure is :) but I strongly recommended doing lc hards. Do atleast 50 of them. Participate in coding contests see if you can do 3-4 problems in 90 mins. Google has very very high expectations from what I've seen
You can spend a year doing leetcode and not get in Google. It’s about deliberate learning that can get you there quickly. Once you can solve LC mediums just keep doing interviews.
'It’s about deliberate learning that can get you there quickly', can you explain more ?
Depends on your luck.

Doable in a few weeks, 6 months is seriously overkill.
assuming someone who's never done LC style questions ?
Absolutely. In fact, you don't even need leetcode. Me and many of my friends passed Google recently (< 3 years ago) by mostly studying from a book called "Elements of Programming Interviews", and for me personally I solved only about 50 Google-tagged problems from leetcode afterwards, which in hindsight wasn't necessary.
