Is LinkedIn counter intuitive or am I the only person feeling like that. 1. When you click connect on someone's profile it will navigate you to an outside page 2. I don't understand why viewing a resume takes you to another page There are many such things I find as counter intuitive and as a recruiter I get pissed of by these
Yes tldr LinkedIn is a barely coherent series of growth hacks rather than an actual product.
LinkedIn is a fundamentally flawed product. The biggest value/consumer of linkedin is b2b sales and recruiting because there are so many prospects on linkedin. If you make linkedin too effective at enabling your actual customers (sales/recruiting) to reach their regular users, the regular users will complain that they only get hit up by sales and recruiters and stop using the platform. Less people using the platform means sales/recruiters will stop paying for it. This is a constant balancing act, preventing LinkedIn from ever being truly great at anything
It has always been a bad UX .....looks like it was “designed” by a Deloitte consultant 😂
