Is Milpitas the next Sunnyvale?

With regular folks pretty much priced out of Cupertino, Los Altos, Palo Alto, Mountain View and Sunnyvale, is Milpitas the only city left that's still somewhat affordable with a reasonable commute in the South Bay? There is crazy amount of development happening near the new BART station by the Great Mall. Looks like they are transforming that area to look like the next Santana Row. Should you buy in Milpitas before the cat is completely out of the bag and prices start going up like crazy like they did in Sunnyvale?

This image says a thousand words about Milpitas. Every time I go over there to Dave and Busters it smells like a septic tank.

Yes it is. Much better commute than Fremont and improving schools

Santana Row? Haven’t heard of that before. What makes you believe they are doing that in BART area? Just curious. I ask because I am contemplating purchase in the same area.

Commute sucks getting to Sunnyvale and Mountain View east of the 880... easily 45m-1hr commute

I agree..if sewer treatment implements closed indoor processing and the smell problem becomes minor issue then I don't see why it won't become next Cupertino forget about shitty Sunnyvale with bad schools...

Schools are good and commute is not bad to Sunnyvale/MTV. Look for houses near Bart station, there is no smell issue.

Fremont has great schools and restaurants. Milpitas is mostly condo and th.

And you can’t venture out to the surface streets from 3-7pm otherwise it’ll take you 2 hours to go to Safeway. Fremont is a hopeless bottleneck for traffic between 880, 237, and 680. Caveat emptor.

Go to the market and do your homework before posting here. Those large developments plan has dropped 5-10% in the past 3 months
