Most people talk about fang with Netflix, in reality very small number of employees and mostly irrelevant for many techies. Should be replaced my msf. FAAMG are the big 5 and where most jobs are
What does it stand for?
Facebook Apple Amazon Google Microsoft
LinkedIn over Microsoft. Yes i know LinkedIn is owned by Microsoft.
Because FANG is just a list of 4 internet stocks that at a particular moment in time Cramer really liked. If it was about tech innovation you would add Uber, Apple, and Microsoft. But it's not. It's about what four tech stocks had the most growth potential in 2013.
Yes I'm suggesting using an alternative relevant acrynom
FANG is not about who pays the most, who has the most difficult interview or who is the most prestigious. It’s a term coined by a stock analyst for stocks that had insane P/E ratios.
It’s mostly salary. Fang usually pay top of market. Maybe not amazon though
FAANG because they're are the largest companies in the world. Also, Netflix pays a crazy amount
Microsoft is much bigger than Netflix! How many Netflix offers you hear about here? The whole company employees like 5k, irrevlant..
They pay mostly in cash and dont hire a lot of new grads which pulls up their avg tc
