Is Pinterest a good place to join now?
An engineering recruiter reached out to me to setup an interview. Not sure if I should consider Pinterest for a job? Any insiders here especially Pinterest employees that can tell me if their valuation is justified and if they are going IPO any item soon?

Joined here few months back so newbie's perspective: Valuation is justified. Product has amazing potential. Long ways to clean tech/product debt before can IPO. That said - co-worker competence is overall really high. Delegating tasks is easy. People know shit that needs to be done to drive the ship. Would recommend

This, yes. Am a former Yelp engineer and the engineering quality at Pinterest is much, much higher.

What is the typical comp offer they make to folks with 8-9 years of software development experience?
Depends on what your current pay is and how you do in interviews, but our cash pay is only slightly lower than G/FB and higher that most other companies (and TC is much higher assuming paper money of course).
